Story:
Five hooded figures stood in a darkened room, their faces obscured by shadows. Four of them stood before the fifth, their heads bowed. The fifth towered over them imperiously. The miniscule light provided by the room's lone candle was overwhelmed by the figure's palpable aura of darkness. "The Salamander escaped," the fifth figure hissed. Her voice was soft and sibilant. "They may learn our secrets! This is not acceptable." The four others nodded, but did not speak. "You four will go now to enact the next stage of our plan. Katan, Horizon, Rondo, and the Ruined City are vulnerable. Go to where they feel safest and show them that there is nowhere the Seekers cannot hurt them!" The woman cackled. "Summon the most ferocious beasts you can imagine from the bowels of the world. Lay siege to their lands and teach them the meaning of fear! Our armies of monsters will be unstoppable!" The four others bowed deeply to their cloaked leader and intoned together, "Yes, O Great Seeker of Darkness. Your will shall be done." With that, the four raised their arms, invoked a spell, and disappeared.
A chill wind blew across the continent, bearing with it omens of death and destruction. Four harbingers of evil followed in its wake. The seers of Katan have received premonitions of a terrible calamity about to occur in the major cities! No one will be safe from the coming storm. The cities of Katan, Horizon, Rondo, and the City in Ruins have called for all heroes of the land to come to their aid and protect them from imminent attack! Do you have the mettle to fight off the Seeker Invasion? This is a cross server competition event. All servers that participate will receive a special drop Event. The winning server will receive a bonus event drop in addition to the normal ones. The winning server will be determined by the speed at which the invasion is thwarted. The server with the fastest time wins. Remember that you are welcome to plan for this on your server forum. Make sure to plan so that all areas are covered evenly, and plan to spread out your forces and make sure that not too many players will be showing up at one single place. Too many players in one place can cause lag that will hurt your server’s overall time. The invasion will include monsters of appropriate difficulty for high rank 2 characters and up. |
